WHY CORAL REEFS?

Coral reefs shelter a quarter of all marine life, protect coastlines, and feed hundreds of millions of people – yet half of the world's corals have died since the 1950s.

And reefs cannot survive without sharks: as the ocean's keystone species they keep reefs healthy and resilient, but more than 100 million sharks are killed every year – protecting sharks and rebuilding reefs is therefore one mission!

The good news: reefs can recover. Coral Gardeners grows heat-resilient corals and outplants them onto degraded reefs – giving damaged ecosystems a second chance.
