ADOPT A CORAL

HOW CAN I GIFT MY CORAL?

You can gift one or more corals to a loved one after adopting them. Once your purchase is complete, you will receive an email with a link to our Coral Gifting Form.

Through this form, you can specify the recipient of your (first) coral and include a personal message, if desired.

If you purchased multiple corals, you'll need to fill out the form separately for each recipient.

The recipient will receive a personalized email with your thoughtful gift directly.

Adopt vs Donate: Differences

Adopting a coral directly supports the growth and restoration of coral reefs by nurturing a baby coral fragment until it's ready to enrich the ocean's biodiversity.

Donating, however, provides broader support for our mission, including research, technology, and the vital work of our coral gardeners.

Who is Coral Gardeners ?

Coral Gardeners is a reef-restoration movement using innovative coral farming and transplantation. Since 2017, our team has been restoring reefs in French Polynesia, Fiji and Thailand. By adopting a baby coral, you directly fund this work and receive a certificate, photo and GPS location.

Join 1M+ ocean lovers who follow our mission on Instagram and help bring dying reefs back to life. 🌊

Adopt a real coral in a few clicks.

Your adoption funds reef restoration in French Polynesia, Fiji and Thailand. We plant your baby coral and email you its photo, GPS location and updates – for yourself or as a gift.

Why coral reefs matter

Coral reefs are among the most biodiverse ecosystems on Earth.

They shelter an incredible variety of marine life and protect millions of people along coastlines. Yet they are also among the ecosystems most affected by climate change and human activity — and a large share could disappear by 2050 if we do not act.

How it works?

Your adoption helps us collect a fragment from a resilient wild coral and grow it in our nurseries into a strong, healthy baby coral.

After about a year, we outplant your coral onto a damaged reef, where it helps rebuild the habitat and bring marine life back.

  • 01. YOU ADOPT

Adopt a coral and receive a custom local certificate.

  • 02. WE PLANT

Our team collects a resilient coral fragment and plants it in our nursery.

  • 03. YOU TRACK YOUR CORAL

Get a unique photo and GPS location of your coral. It’s yours — real and traceable.

  • 04. YOU HELP SAVE THE REEF

Once mature, your coral is transplanted onto a degraded reef, restoring marine life.

Why adopt a coral

50% of Earth’s oxygen

The oceans produce roughly half the oxygen we breathe. Protecting reefs helps protect the air we rely on.

25% of marine life

Reefs cover <1% of the ocean yet shelter ~25% of marine species. Without reefs, biodiversity collapses.

200k km of coasts

Reefs break waves and reduce erosion. Restoring reefs means protecting coastal communities.

1B+ people

Over a billion people rely on reefs for food and income. Saving reefs means acting for people, too.

Follow Your Coral’s Journey

Every coral you adopt is uniquely tracked using cutting-edge AI. Once assigned, you’ll receive a dedicated link showing your coral’s exact location on the reef and a real picture of it.
As it grows and thrives, you’ll get real-time updates straight from the ocean—your personal connection to reef restoration.
