Adopt vs Donate: Differences

Adopting a coral directly supports the growth and restoration of coral reefs by nurturing a baby coral fragment until it's ready to enrich the ocean's biodiversity.

Donating, however, provides broader support for our mission, including research, technology, and the vital work of our coral gardeners.

Who is Coral Gardeners ?

Coral Gardeners is dedicated to saving coral reefs through innovative coral farming and transplantation.

Founded in 2017, we aim to restore damaged reefs and inspire global communities.

By adopting a coral, you support our mission to protect and rejuvenate these crucial marine habitats.

Join us in making a difference for our oceans!

How it works?

Your adoption will enable us to collect a fragment from a resilient coral species in the wild and place it in our nurseries, where it will grow to maturity.

After over a year, your coral will then be outplanted onto a degraded reef to help revitalize the ocean ecosystem.

  • 04. SEE OUTPLANT

When your coral has reached maturity, you will receive an update that your coral has been outplanted onto the reef.

Why adopt a coral

In minutes, you fund real action: nursery → out-planting → visual tracking. No fluff—100% measurable.

50% of Earth’s oxygen

The oceans produce roughly half the oxygen we breathe. Protecting reefs helps protect the air we rely on.

25% of marine life

Reefs cover <1% of the ocean yet shelter ~25% of marine species. Without reefs, biodiversity collapses.

200k km of coasts

Reefs break waves and reduce erosion. Restoring reefs means protecting coastal communities.

1B+ people

Over a billion people rely on reefs for food and income. Saving reefs means acting for people, too.
