BILLABONG ADVENTURE DIVISION X CORAL GARDENERS

BILLABONG ADVENTURE DIVISION X CORAL GARDENERS

We are partnering with the iconic surf brand, Billabong, to address the increasing threat to the ocean’s rainforests with a collection that helps raise awareness and restore the ocean, one coral at a time. A portion of the proceeds of the collection will be donated to our ongoing efforts to grow and plant resilient corals to further-proof the ocean.

The Billabong Adventure Division x Coral Gardeners Collection is made of 100% recycled and/or organic materials to protect the places where we play. The collection offers a purpose-built product range for your next ocean adventure, whether it’s freediving in the coral gardens or searching for that next wave.

Coral reefs not only create perfect waves to surf, but they are also the foundation of a healthy ocean, which produces more than half of the oxygen we breathe. No reef. No Ocean. No Air. As a part of this collaboration, our team had the chance to welcome Billabong athletes Aelan Vaast and Brodi Sale in Mo’orea to discover coral gardening hands-on and witness firsthand what we are all about. We asked our friend and team rider @aleanvast what it was like spending time with our @coralgardeners crew for a couple of days:

“That feeling that you are part of making a change, you have an action, you’re actually doing something. As I spent more time with the Coral Gardeners team, I started to really feel like I was part of the movement dedicated to preserving and restoring coral reefs. I was left with a profound appreciation for the interconnectedness of the marine ecosystem, the resilience of nature and the impact that one dedicated individual can have on the health of our oceans.”

Inspired by South Pacific tiki prints and sea symbols of the past, the collection features an array of pieces, styles and silhouettes. Make sure to explore the full Billabong Adventure Division x Coral Gardeners Collection to join the movement.

To directly support our reef restoration efforts and help us reach our goal of planting 1 million corals around the world, you can also adopt your own coral on our website.
