Adopt vs Donate: Differences

Adopting a coral directly supports the growth and restoration of coral reefs by nurturing a baby coral fragment until it's ready to enrich the ocean's biodiversity.

Donating, however, provides broader support for our mission, including research, technology, and the vital work of our coral gardeners.

HOW DOES THE ADOPTION WORK?

It all starts with a baby coral fragment. Your adoption will enable us to collect a fragment from a resilient coral species in the lagoon and place it in our nursery, where it will grow big and strong. After a little over a year, your matured coral will be outplanted onto the natural reef to bring back life and biodiversity to the ocean.

  • 01. Adopt

  • 04. Plant

We grow your coral in a nursery and, once mature, outplant it onto the reef.

Giving that keeps giving

The concept of adopting a coral allows us to see the different types of corals being propagated and to take a more personal interest in how the corals are managing the ever-changing conditions of climate change.

Saving the planet by Coral Gardeners

I think Coral Gardener is a very important initiative, especially in this context of global warming and climate change. Reefs and corals are one of the main and best tools the planet has to fight against carbon emissions that are modifying the atmosphere. (Coral reefs are the lungs of the oceans; they absorb CO2 from the atmosphere and transform it into oxygen that we breathe. In doing so, they regulate air and water temperature, essential for human life).

So your initiative is a really inspiring environmental action and it would be very interesting to do something like this all over the world, in the reefs where corals are dying because of the warming of the sea or are being destroyed.

Hopefully I can help you again by adapting new corals.

Thank you for your efforts for this important cause.

Don't give up, your action is really essential for the survival of the planet.

Best regards.
